Ingredients
1½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
½ cup cream cheese, softened
½ cup mayonnaise (Duke’s preferred)
¼ cup diced pimentos, drained
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Salt and black pepper to taste
Soft white sandwich bread, crusts removed
Instructions
1. Mix mayonnaise and cream cheese until smooth
2. Fold in sharp cheddar and pimentos
3. Add garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper
4. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour
5. Spread generously on white bread slices
6. Cut sandwiches in half and serve chilled or room temperature
Notes
Use freshly grated cheddar for best texture.
